Who we are:
Troop 228 is a Scouting troop which hails from Morton Grove, Illinois.
We’re consistently rated “Excellent” by B.S.A.’s Pathway to Adventure Council.
Our youth members hail from Youth members hail from Morton Grove, Skokie and Niles while attending many schools including Park View, Fairview, and Golf Elementary schools. As well as, Niles West, Niles North, and Maine East High Schools.
We’re sponsored by the American Legion Post 134 located on 6144 Dempster St, Morton Grove, IL 60053.
What We Do:
We meet 2-3 times a month at the American Legion Post 134.
We go on an overnight weekend activity at least once every month.
Tent camping
Cabin camping
Cave camping
Camporee
Overnight waterpark outing
Cold-weather camping
Canoeing
Rock climbing
backpacking
If you can name it, we probably do it!
We perform service projects in our community.
We participate in the annual Morton Grove Days Parade.
We go to Owasippe Scout Reservation for one week every summer, it’s indescribably fun for our Scouts.
